I thought about just using a bootable usb windows install, but getting to the point where you delete partitions takes some time, thought there was better/faster solutions. I would like to use something that is free and can be put on several usb sticks to knock this out quick. My workload is huge, and I have already verified the new entity has a way of installing their own image on these devices, so once the license is removed my work is done. The goal here is not really to make sure data is destroyed, but just prevent the device from using the license. So something that I can boot from a USB drive and run a quick format, or just delete the partition will work fine. I need something that will work fast, so I don't care if the process actually wipes data or not. I need to remove the OS on them as they are using our volume license. We have several laptops (no cd-drive) that will be taken over by another entity.
