In Iowa, SkyWest is also pulling out of Mason City and Fort Dodge. Sioux City isn’t the only one seeing cancellations, as the company has announced it will be pulling out of 28 other communities. Collett says if a new provider is not found in 90 days, by the beginning of June, SkyWest will be “held in the market.” Meaning SkyWest will continue to operate for Sioux Gateway Airport until a new provider is in place.
